The last I heard about frame was pictures he sent me ,he told me it would take a week or so for all parts to arrive then he would start welding together. I will probably email at end of week.He said he would take pic for everybody,I know you have all already seen his frames, but I am excited about it and will probably go ahead and post same frame pictures that everyone has already seen haha I have question about your trailer ,is it wobbly as you pull vw on it(being like 3 point contact)thought maybe tilt side to side I do like it though

The trailer, with four wheels on the ground and the hitch, is actually a five point contact and extremely stable! The four inch dropped axles lower the center of gravity. CMD

The trailer hitch is just in my head, so far.My shop is so small; I have to finish one project before I start another. Plus, right now I have the engine apart for the '61 and need it ready to go to the OceanCity, MD cruise weekend in May. CMD

I was asking when loading and cars weight goes above axles if it wanted to tip side to side when front axle is off ground ,It was just a question.I do like design it is simple and easy.I saw heavy equipment trailer that was set up nice once also, ramps where functional but he left down all the time and a leaf spring weld underneath held up high enough not to hit road but when loading and unloading the weight of machine pushed spring down to ground

I was asking when loading and cars weight goes above axles if it wanted to tip side to side when front axle is off ground ,It was just a question. OK...OK....I've got it now! Sorry I misunderstood your question. Look at this picture
and you can see the rear frame is solidly on the ground, preventing any movement. For soft or uneven ground; I use a flat " foot " on the front lift, instead of a wheel. It digs in at an angle and pushes the load to the rear. CMD

Thanks for that, I knew back would be on ground but could get brain around rest of it,didnt see that or know tongue was stable also seemed once cars weight was up to front of trailer if wheel moves any it could let weight tip side to side, I probably should have asked better question would have been easrier on both haha

ok, my question/suggestion is as such...first the ?..do you always winch the car on the trailer?..with help?..myself,I'm not used to having a winch and most cars I've loaded have been under the car's own power and not too much help..and in the process of running the car onto the trailer,I've had the front wheels take out the trailer lights when they were mounted like yours..on the trailer we're using now, which we have borrowed from a friend for the past three years, what he has done to protect the lights is to build a guard for them (now is when I had a cam to show how this was done)basically,it's a piece of flat steel that's a little bigger that the lights with a gusset bracing the guard...we haven't gotten close to the lights yet( '84 Chevy Caprice pure stock),but back in the day,Conrad used to hit the lights all the time with his dirt open wheel sportsman..
