Hey Everyone... I got email yesterday from a Friend saying he got the New Car Craft Magazine May Issue and seen my VW in the magazine.. I was Stoked to hear that and rushed to the store to See for myself. I picked up the May Issue of Car Craft, Flipped a couple pages and on Page 10 Lied my VW with a Little article.. That just Made my day seeing that in there. Thats one accomplishment for me to make it into a Magazine and to do it in Car Craft is Pretty Sweet.
Thanks JamesHey,Congratulations!!!!.....It's always great for the ego to get some ink in a magazine! CMD

Hey Guys, Had a Nice day Sunday so I decided to make 2 videos of my VW. One Video is Just a Walk Around and Engine Start and the other video is some street driving in the vw. The Carbs are alittle fat for the motor, youll see it puff the black smoke. The car wanted to pop when pulling hard in 2nd gear, I didnt know what its problem was until later in the day and I was watching the video. I noticed that the butterflys on the scoop was not opening nearly enough to allow the air in to mix with the fuel. So I got that Straightend out. Well Enjoy the Videos. Man, I just read this thread from page 1 and watched the videos. This is one nice build. You have the stance down perfect and as far as engine choice, I'd stay with the blower. It just has that attitude that fits the rest of the car.

I have about 2 inches on the inside of the tire to the frame and about 1 inch from the tire to the fender lip. Tall wise I have about another 2 inches to the the tire hits the wheel Tub. I can fit a 32x14.4x15 MT Slick with no Problems, I just move the shock hole up one notch. This is all Under STock Width Fenders as well.

Hey Guys. Sorry its been so long since i updated my Post havent really did a whole lot to the vdub, just been busy driving the nuts outta this thing anywhere and everywhere, snappin necks and cashing checks lol. I did get a new Fuel Pump on the car that seemed to take care of my fuel delivery issue, the car really turns on now but still in need of a set of carbs, it has 750 vaccum secondarys on it now and im gonna stick a set of 750 double pumpers on it, that should really bring her to life! now that the car is runnin pretty good now, ive ran into the Hooking up Issue so last thursday i ordered up a set of Brand New 31x18.50x15 Hoosier Quick Time Pro's from summit and got them in on monday and got em mounted. Test drove the car saturday for the first time, went to a car show with em, drove 40 miles one way, they were really nice on the road, and when you get em warmed up, they sure do BITE! so im glad i got that issue worked out. Here are some up to date photos of the VW. Hope you guys like em! PS. Ordered a set of wheels and some tubing today... gonna start fabbin up a set of wheelie bars
