That's why you go with a twin turbo, one smaller than the other. The small one kicks in from idle to about 3500 and then the large turbo kicks in. Or if you had a daily driver you might not want it to kick in all the time. Only thing I don't like about super chargers is they take a % of power to generate power. They're still cool though!

turbos r my fav, i love the way they sound as theyr spooling up and hearing that blow off valve haha  y wouldnt u want the turbo to kick in all the time, thats the best part haha |

So you don't eat up more gas and wear down you motor as quick as if your constantly running on boost, referring to a daily driver. |

having the fastest car in town is GREAT..................... for about that long. lemme tell ya especially in a small town it gets old. its like having a bullseye painted on your car. you end up getting SOO many people pull up and start revving their engines, and all kinds of people trying to get you to go on the light, or at the edge of town. then you gotta look out for the cops before too long. they dont like fast cars. they dont like loud cars. and they dont like young kids in fast loud cars. maybe they just dont like me. ANYHOW with great power...... comes great responsibility.

i dissagree, it great having a fast car, and when people rev at u, blow them off, u hav nothing to prove to them, the speed is for your own entertainment, not others. yess it does come with great responsibility and you have to learn that there is a time and a place to go fast and be stupid.

u know, i used to work for dodge as a part time mechanic and the srt v10 doesnt sound as cool as u would think, and the srt trucks r gutless, but thats a truck and this is a bug and also im sure it was just the gearing in the truck was too high.

i wanted one of those before they actually came out with them. i bugged the dodge dealer for about 3 months asking about special ordering a short bed single cab truck with JUST the engine JUST a manual transmission, posi, and manual everything/power nothing. -sigh- they basically told me it would cost 12000 more than a regularly equiped truck.
after i gave up they came up with basically the options i wanted.
as for the gutless srt............ i think that the truck v10 is detuned a bit, AND it has almost double the weight of a viper, and then there is the chassis........BUT manually shifting an auto will get it through the quarter mile in just over 14 seconds if im not mistaken.

ya i believe the truck was an auto, and i would imagine it would be detuned cuz u know u would get that one guy that thinks just because its got a viper engine, that it would handle like one too lol

ya i love the look of it, but to me its not a v8 bug anymore if its got anything other than a bug front end lol kinda defeats the purpose

It does take away from the V8 bug appeal, some. It looks like a different car.
