I had all my center lines marked out and just took the body off the chassis. I'll see if I can get you a number you can use.
Just had one of those DOH moments. My daugter's beetle was out in the drive way. From the rear door jamb to the axle centerline is 33.5"

Awesome build! What are the plans for this car (intended use)? The first picture almost looks like you have a bicycle wheel mounted on the passenger side of the rear diff.
Not too long ago there was a guy that had a V8 bug on this show called "pass time" were three people guess how fast it'll be in the quart mile with minimal info and they get to ask one question. The car ran a mid 9. It probably would've done better but it got a little loose on launch / take off.
The car had an estimated 500 hp (big block / 4** something), a full custom tube chassis, fiberglass front, really nice paint scheme (black with yellow flames, you could see the chassis and cage was all yellow if I recall right), weighed 2500-2600 lbs.

Welcome to the Forum... Sounds like you got One Hell of a Plan for the Bug. Sounds Great. Thought about going turbo myself and Still might but Ill stick with the Blower for right now. Good luck with your build, im running a 2x3 tube chassis, if you need any ideas or anything just look at my Thread page.
