;DWork has been progressing on my V8 Squareback project. I am working on the floors and aftre some thought, I finall came up with an idea i liked. I took an old Type III pan and cut off the bo dy mounting channel around the perimiter. I then too 18 gauge steel and formed a 3/4' break on the outside edge. Next was to weld the floor sheet up into the channel. Now the floor will bolt directly to the body like original plus it will be bolted to the chassis at various points. Next step is to design my rectangular tunnel with a built in arm rest/console. I wanyt to install my Lokar transmission mounted shifter first and build the tunnel around it, Next will be the rear floor panels and firewall.

Looking really good Tom. Are you going to start the firewall where those panels end?

Looking really good Tom. Are you going to start the firewall where those panels end? :PThe jury is still out on that. I am tossing some other ideas around as I will be redoing my dash to accept my Hot Rod Air, a/c/heater assembly

I decided to take a little time off. My wife and I are down in Anna Maria Island, Florida. Will be leaving here on the 26th then up to Georgia, Blue Ridge Mountain, for about 3 days then back to home and start working again. Last weekend, I went to Road America and saw some great, vintage car racing.
