Maybe once again getting it tomorow if the guy has gotten his plow running, if not the snow might be melted enough for my buddy to get his 4x4 back there to pull it out........

I got it home, took over 3 hours of screwing around to get it on the trailer, the trailer is 96" long end to end, and the beetles wheel base is 96.5"
so that was an interesting trip
Pictures will be up this weekend and I hope to start taking it apart

hey SKAR,when ya finally get back on here, check out the thread"my 383 POWERED BUG"...I'm thinking the guy is from Ontario...and if he is and you can get a hold of him,you can ask him how he registered the car for the road...and i was at the Merrittville race car show yesterday, there was some Mustng mini stocks there and I had a look at some of the brake set pedal set-ups and I'm thinking that the stock Mustang brake pedal assembly and steering column will work perfectly for you..

Ive just been cleaning up some rust on the body, removed the floor pans completely.
Need to put back tires on it to make it so I can roll it around as is to get it in and out of the garage easier,
All of the snow is gone so I have been outside quite a bit more, but working on a few other projects right now as well

I'm going to reply on this one (nubie here) but you may not like to here this: Your Mustang (I have an '83 conv. driver) is held together by the body mostly. The floor hump and rocker area actually keep the thing from folding up like a book. Convertables are reinforced below because they lack a top to keep the car together. Get a real frame under your project. Besides the Mustang is too wide. The front shock towers are in the way too. Maybe a Ranger frame would work if you need to have a ford. I do not know if the ranger accepts a v-8 readily.

I don't know whether or not if the kit is still offered or not but Ford's "SHO"or whatever their factory high-performance team is,had a kit that eliminated the Mac Struts and replaced them with A-frames and such..I'll have a look and see if I can find that kit online somewheres..

I'm starting to think this kit was a one -off deal or something,I can't find it anywheres..I saw the thing on a TV show(can't rem, ember which one now, either on SPEED or TNN,now Spike) where the two top hi-perf guys from both Ford and Chevy took a Mustang and a Camaro(the Ford guy took the 'stang and the Chevy guy took the Camaro,of course) and modified them and ran them in different types of racing...the Ford guy had the A-frames on the car and i thought that maybe Ford was going to offer them as a kit..if they did, they must have either dropped it or changed their mind...actuall,I had another idea..what if ya put one of those Mustang II front-end kits in there?..that is ,of course,if the stock towers won't fit in the front of the bug..
