I like it! Don't go on my opinion though because I'm that guy that likes the crazy off the hook cars just like yours. I live for autorama so I can go see the crazy show cars that tour the circuit.
The two oranges could work well together.

Hey everyone, I hope all your projects have been going well... I've been making some headway with mine as well. Here's my latest rendering of where we're going with it. Matt gave me some help with a couple of color options for the car... Since there are SO many Red and Black cars out there I'm considering a couple of different Corvette colors: Daytona Sunset Orange or Atomic Orange. A guy took the two colors I'm considering and melded them together! So what do you guys think??Great concept! I like the colors too... but, IMO... I'm not a big fan of the front spoiler/scoop thing. My idea in the beginning was to do that too, but now that I see it, I like the plain wrapper look. It might just be cause its a render and not the real deal, or maybe something in the lines is off a little, but it just doesnt flow right. Looks like it might work on a Thing, but not the bug. You may have to have it for downforce though with 800Hp on the roadcourse.

The two oranges could work well together. Hey Paul, My car will be FAR from a "show car"... I just don't have a front bumper to hang a spoiler from. I'll either use the Fun Cup Splitter or come up with my own design. The 2-tone orange paint is just the way a guy Photoshopped my concept. I doubt I'd use the 2-tone orange but I might use some of the other Fun Cup items. I NEED the downforce. I'm be looking at options other than using a rear wing. Great concept! I like the colors too... but, IMO... I'm not a big fan of the front spoiler/scoop thing. My idea in the beginning was to do that too, but now that I see it, I like the plain wrapper look. It's not perfect shape but it gets the idea across... I'm more worried about keeping the car on the ground then I am worried about the looks! Performance and Safety is taking precedence over looks. I may have to design something myself to get the function without the particular look of this splitter.

I beg to differ. Any engineering marvel of this caliber IS a showcar. True gearheads will flock to a car like this. Even if not because the car is pretty, but just to look all over it, crawl under it, and take notes and pictures.

When I go to the shows I always look way beyond the shiny stuff and I'm focused on the mechanical stuff and how it's all put together. I like the weird creations at the shows and a 900+HP BBC in a bug fits that description. Keep up the great work Ray! I always look forward to the updates. I follow your build on Pro-Touring as well.

Ray, Was checkin out your build progress yesterday on the pro- touring forum, all I gotta say is, WOW!! ;D The suspention is too sick, and I like the custom work that you guys put into the car. That mother's gonna destroy the road course! The dash was pure genius, gonna be real sweet. I cant wait for the video!! ;D
The only question I have is, about how to keep the rear end from getting squirrelly on ya with very little weight in the back? Are you gonna put balasts back there somewhere?
Keep up the good work man, you make me want to build another!

Definitely looking good. Most of the hard work is finished.
I think I recall his weight was almost 60/40 front/rear since the engine was moved back as much as possible.
No doubt. Once I win the lottery, I'm building one like Ray's as a full time job. LOL

Hey guys,
I recently weighed the car with my fabrication buddy's corner scales. With me sitting in the car, and at the stage of disassembly it was in, the car and I weighed 2,300#. We figure we had about 300-400# of stuff left to put on the car so that would make the finished car weigh 2,400-2,500# and me weighing 200#. The car with me in it scaled right at 51% front/49% rear. We are very happy with that because I didn't have 22 gallons of gas in the back and only the front fenders and hood were missing from the front of the car... It was missing the doors, the fenders, the hood and decklid, the glass, the starter, the wiring, the gauges, the dash, and the stereo equipment. The car should be right at a 50/50 distribution when finished. I am also running a Racelogic Traction Control on the car to help with the massive power of the car... especially coming out of the corners!

Can we get some updated pics sir........................ PLEASE PLEASE ! Hey Joe, I didn't ever find much interest on this site (outside of Matt, Paul, Hellraiser, and Mock1) so I really haven't kept up with the build on this website... There has been a TON of work on the car so I'll just give the highlights... If you're really interested, you are welcome to go check out the entire build on this other site: www.pro-touring.com/showthread.php?44130-Satan-s-quot-Lady-Bug-quot. Here's a few highlights:
