OK, where I left off last is I had to even out the fenders width wise and the measurement from the bottom of the tail light housing was off about an inch. So I completely redid the drivers side rear fender cause some of the extension metal wasn't exactly flush and I fixed the two problems while I was at it. What do you guys think?! I'm really liking how they are now.

the wheels look good where they set in the fenders. the fronts look about right where they are at. LOOKING GOOD I like how the sit too. Once I hook up the shackles it'll probably lift the rear up 1 1/2", but I'v got lowering blocks that'll take care of that. Once I put the motor up front it should bring it down 1 1/2"-2". I was thinking about widening the front fenders by an inch, but I think that they'll be fine as is. I just need to move the front of the body over by about a 1/2" to get it lined up right. Thanks!

i wouldnt worry about widening the fronts up any. they look proportionate. and the tire placement in the fenders look BEAUTIFUL.
the way it sets there, it just looks RIGHT.

Thanks guys!
I'm going to leave the front fenders as is and finish up the rear fenders. I started the final welding Monday night. I still have a little more welding to do, some grinding to get rid of the raised weld areas, and then I'll figure a way to shape the fenders so the extension seams are smooth enough to start applying a little bondo to make them seamless.

It looks like you are going to gain that perfect look you are trying to attain with a Corvette style wheel with all the offset to the inside!
It also looks like you will have plenty of room on the inboard side to run a fairly wide wheel/tire combo...

It also looks like you will have plenty of room on the inboard side to run a fairly wide wheel/tire combo... I'm happy it worked out as well as it did! Once I get this project rolling and can afford to upgrade the wheels I might go with some 18" vette wheels or just some after market 17"-18" wheels that have the same offset. I could remove the spacers and go with the normal offset but I like the + offset look. I definitely still have plenty of room to go with wider tires / wheels which is a plus.

i like the stock vette wheels personaly. Me too cause you don't see bugs with vette wheels. Maybe porsche but not vette wheels.

This weekend I did some more work on the fenders. Basically removed them and did some welding on the inside seems. Next I'll grind down the welds flush and start getting them looking finished. I've got my work cut out for me on these fenders! While I had the fenders off I started welding in the shackle mounts. I was going to make some custom mounts but I don't have the right tools. So I'm in the process of cutting the end of the frame down and welding in the stock frame sections that held the shackle bushings. Here's one side tack welded. Here's the complete weld. I'll next go back and grind it flush.
