Yup, I'm being serious I just got quoted $1,000 USD for shipping that JW rod garage Mustang II front end setup to the UK. Bring the front end costs to around $2,700. Not as bad due to the exchange rate at the mo meaning it'll work out to about £1,500 including import tax. That works out to 6 boxes at a combines 203lb weight, From the info I could find i'm guestimating the rear axle would be approx 52lb (correct me if i'm way wrong on that). So shipping should be in the region of $250. Say Dawg could build me an axle for $800 + the $250 shipping That'd leave a fair whack to cover paying Dawg to build it & take the time to ship it to me. Obviously this is all presuming that $800 would be to build one without currently having any of the bits. For all I know that could be just to add the brakes lol ;D £750 ($1,500) is the usual price over here for a second hand complete Ford 9" with locker. Dawg, if you are interested in something like this (although from the sounds of it you've got no time on your hands anyway) i'd be interested in talking prices with you. Si

I talked to my axle guy yesterday as a matter of fact, he totaly misunderstood what i wanted and i misunderstood what he was giving. $800. is for most of the labor. I have to buy the locker, which is $500. also i have to buy the back brace, and a new ring/pinion gear!! what he was giving me was a quote for was rebuilding the exsisting components, complete teardown, cuting the axles, resplining, reassembly, and paint!! so it looks like it's gonna cost a lot more than what I thought.sorry for the misinformation.

Since I am doing the whole "Pro-Touring" and Road Racing thing I am pulling out my entire rear setup and starting over... Therefore, all my stuff is for sale! Ford 9" (Hub-to-hub = 46-3/8", Posi-track, Moser Pro Street 4.11 gears, Moser 31-spline axles, Wilwood 12.19" Disc Brakes with Dynalite calipers (with internal emergency brake shoes). I will plasma cut all the old brackets off, buff it up, replace the pumpkin gasket, and shoot a coat of paint on it. The gears and axles have about 100 miles on them. The Wilwood brakes are BRAND NEW and have never been used, just mounted. $2,200.

I am replacing it with a WIDER Moser M9 housing with an aluminum center section with 3.70 gears.
