Tis true. If I had the money to buy and heads I wanted, I would go AFR or Brodix.

Well whatever I get will be aluminum, 2,02/ 1.60 valves 180 cc intake runners, 64cc chamber, That should get me some more power, and wake up that 360 c.i. dagum monster.

Sounds like a plan. I'm sure you'll find something. RHS and Edelbrock have some pretty affordable aluminum heads in those specs. You could buy a bare pair and use what you got to save a little if money is an issue.

Got the garage reorganized and swept. Hopefully I'll be able to put in some spray time this weekend.

Sorry, I meant spray some more high build primer. Although, this is the last coat before paint. I just have to hit it with some 400 wet and it'll be ready to go. This will be my last chance to catch imperfections. I did a quick walk around video rather than take a bunch of pictures. You can hear my neighbors late model chevy pickup start and pass by. Like you said, you already have the parts to build them. Not like it's difficult to assemble head. ;D Did you said, AFR's!!! ;D

LOL, thanks Chris. I made some good progress on the bug this weekend. I wet sanded the fenders, deck lid, hood, and the driver's side of the car, inside and out, with 400 grit. The fenders and deck lid need just a touch more sanding (pin holes) and it'll be ready for sealer, color and clear! Some pictures of the sand panels. The plan when it comes to paint is to do it in sessions so I don't where myself out. I'll do the fenders in one session: a coat of sealer, two coats of s/s hugger orange, and two coats of clear. Then I'll let the paint cure for a few days, wet sand with 400, and then spray an over reduced coat of clear. Next would be the deck lid and hood, cause they'll be black, same process, and then I'll do the body. So I hope to get the fenders in paint this coming weekend. Did I mention the weather has finally gotten cooler and is perfect for painting. ;D

Thanks! There shouldn't be any problem. As long as the paint is mixed good, I use the same spray settings, and same amount of color coats. The fenders are perpendicular to the car so even if they were off a hair, it wouldn't be easily noticed. As long as I don't have to buy another gallon to spray the car I should be good. LOL.

Truckin' along. Wet sanded the roof and the passenger side of the car last night. I hit it with 220 then 400. All that is left is the rear and front clip, the cowl, rear cowl, engine bay and radiator area. I'm about 75% there. The roof came out pretty flawless. I can't wait to get some gloss black on.
