Hey Darrin, welcome! What information are you looking for exactly? So are you going to order a chassis from prostreetbugs? Their chassis are awesome. If you're going to go with the super body you might want to ask prostreetbugs to make the chassis wheelbase for the super body. A regular beetle's wheelbase is 94.5" and a super beetle's is 95.25". With that chassis you can run any engine and transmission combination, you just have to fabricate the motor mounts and tranny mounts for your setup.

Hey Darrin, Welcome to the site! My car is also a 1972 Super Beetle... I don't know if you have anything specific in mind but I am changing my whole car around... going from a "Pro Street" car to a "Pro Touring" car... Since I am going to more of a "race car" look, I am going back to a more traditional look with my dash and gauges... I will be using traditional analog gauges. I will be selling my dash, console, and digital setup. If you or anyone else is interested, let me know. All of the gauges are "Dakota Digital". The main pod has a Speedometer, Tachometer, Oil Pressure, Water Temperature, Voltage, and Fuel gauge. The square gauges below include: Engine Oil Temperature, Transmission Oil Temperature, Vacuum, and a Clock. The switches include: horn, flashers, headlights, turn signals, electric fuel pump, electric fans, and a couple more I can't remember... The dash is fiberglass and the console is aluminum...

THANKS A LOT FOR YOUR SERVICE!! You and all the others sacrificing for your country is why we are able to have fun with these cars!! x2! So how's the prostreetbug chassis coming? Good choice on going with a super. I think you'll have even more space for the engine with the 1302 super more so than the 1303 (73+) because they don't have the windshield moved forward life 73+ models. As far as going with the manual tranny it'll be interesting to see you get it all set up. Most people built theirs with an auto for ease of setup, but there is one member here that has a 6 speed tranny in theirs. It's the guy with the chopped regular beetle body. Keep us updated on your progress.

I am still waiting on chassie ,he said it would be soon though .CANT wait ;it will be complete roller with disc brakes on all 4s ford 9in with 373 -456 positraction and 4 link and mustang II frontend . I am going to try set motor and tranny low in frame and hopefullyget more foot room also have to see it to know for sure if I can.I am hoping to be able to use brake and clutch pedals out of old camaro the type that has a pivot point on rod up under dash I THINK I can weld to roll bar or cage under dash.like motor though it looks good in my head HAHA might not work after it comes out of there though but I think it will. Wish all the safety for your son also. Darrin

That car I posted was a guys car from superbeetlesonly.com and he also used a pearl coating in there some where. I think it was about 8 coats total. A couple coats of black as the base color, couple coats of pearl, couple coats of the candy color and then a couple coats of clear. I'll have to look again and see what info I can find.
