well my name is Ron, i live in SW ohio, anyhow i thought i would tell ya's all about my 66 Bug V8 project that i started in August of 07 i have always wanted to build a V8 Bug, seeing how i have had around 25 of these cars i decided after i wrecked my 66 back in 95 that it was gonna be the one, started out was gonna put a 455 cid Olds motor in the front, then changed my mind because of the weight, when i dropped it into the car the front springs bottomed out the front frame section is from an S10 truck, cut off just behind the front wheels and welded to 2x4 tube making up the rear frame rails, i ended up adding a small block Ford motor (302 cid) that came out of my wifes mustang racer (was a 12 sec 1/4 mile grocery getter) we had a few years back, i have a build page over at the VolksRods.com site, i will just post the link here so i dont hafta redo all the pictures, and you can take a look at the progress made since i started, i hope to have it in running condition by the end of July this year for a show here is the LINKquestions and criticism welcome thanks Ron[glow=red,2,300][/glow]

well i dont consider myself a Ford guy, or a Chevy guy
im the kinda guy that likes almost anything that has a motor/engine
i just like cars, all tho i am partial to American made muscle cars, and then there is the VW aircoolers, i have always liked the Bugs
so this is a cross of all the cars i have had over the past 10 years and kept parts from
now i decided to put them all together inside the body of my Bug
have a great day everyone
Ron
