Looks like you're making great progress. If you plan on keeping the back seat I'd keep the frame setting on top / level with the frame and lower the suspension, that is if you want the car a little lower. Otherwise the frame rails will come up into the back seat area. At least it did for me. I mounted / drop the body of mine level with the bottom of the frame.
Keep us posted.

Looks like you could drop the body around the frame 2"-3" and still be able to have a back seat? What about using the small turbo so it'll kick in the lower rpm range and getting a bigger turbo for the other side that'll kick in at higher rpms?

well i see that you know it going to be to small buy it self what kind of hp are you looking at i know the stock 5.0 block dont like over 500hp they like to spit down the liffter valley. well if you want to stay with a turbo the BW s400 is a 75mm turbo with a 1.32 ar that turbo will feed a 1000hp and they are only like $500.00 new cool build keep us updated.

Do you have some pics of what you're talking about? I see your steering box but can't really see the problem.

had same problem with mine, go manual steering, u lose about an inch out the front, and my power box just barely touched the inside of my apron, so now that i have the manual box i have about inch to inch and a half clearance..

I'm running a manual box as well with no issues, but I have a super beetle. For all I know I can put on the power steering box I have and have no clearance issues.
