Hi buckdec,
Welcome to the V8 bug madness. I'm currently doing a V8 swap using the S10 chassis. With the super beetle body I'm using the steering wheel / column mount in the stock location. They make headers specifically for the V8 S10 swap which will allow the steering box shaft to go in between the header and the engine. You'll have to get creative in the fact that in the stock location the steering wants to go where the engine will be. I plan to use a couple universal joints to solve this problem. I'll let you know how it turns out and what I did.

Welcome, I'm also doing the whole s-10 thing. It's a lot of work but it's worth it. U-joints are the way to go because u don't want anything rubbing haha. Good luck and word of advice we like PICS! Haha check out my build "building a v8 bug"
