has anyone seen this yet ?
The Beetle has a salvage title due to an engine fire .Nothing was hurt that was going to be used in this build, so it made it the perfect donor car .The body was not wrecked, and is very straight, with new legend lime paint. The pictures don't do it justice. Over the next few months I will be selling several projects due to lack of space. This Beetle is right about 95% Complete. What it needs: the rear gears are way too low for street (I think they're 4.88) and were never set-up to begin with. With these changed, it should make a really neat street car. I planned on installing 3.50 gears. The CD player will need installed and wired. CD player comes with the car. Drivers side seatbelt harness also needs installed and is included (pictured). Sunvisors need installed and are included. Hood latch and cable need installed and are included. It will need a front end alignment after completion. I'm sure there will be some other small things that I've not thought of, however this car is not far from completion.Call with any questions, or you are welcome to make an appointment to see the car before bidding.
What has been done: New Engine - .030 over 350 Chevy with flattops, mild Erson cam, doublehump heads, Edelbrock intake and carb, all new bearings, oilpump, lifters, etc. Chrome pan, block hugger headers, Edelbrock waterpump, polished aluminum engine plate, aluminum pulleys, new alternator and starter, Procomp distributor, Holley fuel pump and regulator, cooled by an aluminum radiator with electric fan.
new TPS 350 auto Transmission with new converter
Full tube chassis: Heidts tubular fully adjustable front suspension with polished rack and disc brakes. Rear is Art Morrison triangulated ladder bar with narrowed Ford 9-inch and disc brakes.
Headlights, turn signals, ignition, charging system, brake lights, dash lights, and gauges have been professionally wired.
Body: custom fenders, bumpers, rockers, and hood. Nice straight body and paint.
New front runner radials on skinnys with Mickey Thompson 31x16.00R15LT on 15x14 rims in rear.
New exhaust, one off custom dash and floor pan.
Custom aluminum fuel tank with sender. 10 speakers installed in car. And many other modifications (see pictures).
Too much to list and remember everything, so you are welcome to inspect the car , just call and make an appointment first.
This is a pro built car, not a throw-together. Quality parts throughout. Build cost is way over the start-out bid with no reserve.
