The next step is getting a dual pass radiator installed, then start on doing finish work starting at the front and work my way back , going to redo everything under the hood ,then do the interior , before I get around to painting. I didnt realize how well it looked till after I parked it on the street then came home and seen it from a distance sure looks a lot better than it does in the shop up close to it..

She drives good , nice and smooth on the freeway, as far as take off it has a lot of traction , no wheel spin with the engine and transaxle weight over the rear wheels , and it does not seem to try and pull the front off the ground , although I havent just nailed it yet, A little more work on motor mounts before that happens,

Cool bug, how much CFM do the fans produce? The first time i saw this car i wondered how well it cooled & how much the engine could breathe. do you have any ductwork for the intake?

the new fans are 2100 cfms per fan, and I built the shroud so I can run just 1 fan, each fan pulls through half of the rad, as far as intake, the engine compartment actually becomes pressurized over 35 miles per hour?? air from under the car pressures it, I had the sheet metal lid inside the car loose and when I went onto the freeway it was floating I had to reach back and hold it down so it wouldnt hit me in the back of the head. there is no ducting to the air cleaner, but the rad is ducted in the front and will be on the backside also.

Great job so far. I'm currently building a '71 super/jeep and was considering adding 6" down the middle, and was wondering what you used for your rear window? The front is easy it's just flat, but the rear has major curve. Did you flatten it out? The car does look bada$$, keep up the good work.

I have plexiglass in the rear and side windows, and the windshield for now till I get a piece of glass cut, I am straightening the lower ledge of the windshield now , cause it does have a slight bow in the glass on the bottom but the top is straight, Am in the process of redoing everything from the dash up to the nose now, got the dash and floorboards done and inner front fenderwalls, now need to get some seam sealer and go over it all , then some sort of like bedliner type coating to help with sound deading etc.

Very awesome wide body you have there!...I would be willing to guess that your body mods alone took several months...I am also going mid engine and wanted a auto trans, but will have to settle for a 914, cuz I couldn't find a decent FWD trans that will bolt up to my Ford 5.0...maybe you have a solution, I know that the SHO auto trans will bolt up but I don't want to do all the extra work to turn the engine side ways...I don't think Ford made an auto FWD trans that works like yours.

I cant think of any fords with that setup either, maybe build an adapter to use a gm trans? I actually had a small block adapted to the tranny before I put the cad motor in it, A turbo 350 torque convertor will work in this trans it is smaller diameter for the smaller diam flex plate.
As far as progress I have been redoing the dash and front end sheetmetal under hood got inner fender wells done , got fuel tank in , goin to work on hooking wiring back up next prob, then some seam sealing and got to get some sort of coating for under hood and fender wells.

that seems like a good way to hide all the welds...I would've done the same thing...just grind them down and spray on the spackle paint...kinda like the trunk paint they used yrs ago.
