For those whom are running rear mounted radiator, or a radiator that is front mounted but you have a rear V8, what are you using to run the plumbing? Can you buy radiator hose by the foot at say Autozone? What about metal plumbing? PVC Ideas.........

The stuff I used to use on my Subaru conversions (rad front engine back) was either 28mm or 35mm aluminium tube.
Basically the same size bore as the rubber hoses but just in aluminium for the long runs.
You could use steel tube.
Only thing to watch out for is that some metals need to be earthed (unfortunately I can't remember which) as due to the electrolysis of the coolant and flow it can work similar to a battery causing galvanic corrosion to either the pipes or the block.

ya i was planning on using some type of metal or aluminum tubing, because if u were to use rubber hose i would imagine that it would blow out alot more often.

galvanized muffler pipe, just use the radiator hoses to connect from the engine to the pipe, and from the pipe to the radiator.

and ground the engine block in several places to reduce electrolysis

im gunna try to use the least rubber hose as possible, so there is less chance for it to blowout

When I did Matt's car, I used steel tubing ( I think 1.5 inch) I think it was elecritical tubing I got from home depot. Cut and welded. If you use galvanized -don't try to MIG it, OR breathe the fumes. Bend a little lip on the end of each connection is a good idea if you are going to run pressure in the system. It probably would be good to use tubing a bit bigger than I did because of pumping losses thru the long runs and just taper it to connection size at the ends Because I ran 2 radiators, I do not know if one in the back is sufficient ( the Malibu radiator in back was NOT sufficient to cool the 350). A single big radiator up front is ideal (less hassle). The ideal system would be to use frame tubes to flow the coolant but that means building the frame with that in mind, and in my case I went with a Malibu frame.
