How's everyone doing?! Well, I hope. I thought it was slow in here before. Now that the V8bugs.com URL / Splash page is gone, it's like a ghost town in here. LOL
Winter's over everyone. Time to get back on your build.

Well, I'm going to try and get back on track here soon. I've gotten side tracked with a second band. There's a few things I still need to buy to finish the car, which I'll get when I get my tax return. Things to get:1. Switches 2. Aluminum Dash 3. Front turn signals. 4. Roll cage padding. Things to do:1. Finish coating underside of the car. 2. Seal couple spots under chassis. 3. Have exhaust extend out rear. 4. Touch couple nicks in paint. 5. Wire up the lighting 6. Cut and install carpet. 7. Mount seats and belts. 8. Install roll cage padding. 9. Tune. 10. Alignment 11. Fix tranny leak around shifter linkage. 12. Figure out the deal with my starter. Acting up. 13. Wash and wax 14. Drive and enjoy!

Haha, not yet. I haven't had the time lately with spring here and some work needing to be done to the yard and what not. Once I get a little free time it shouldn't take long to finish it all. Hopefully I'll get it done before summer comes.

Okee dokee! Starting to make a little progress. I finally got the funds to order the rest of the parts I need. An aluminum racing dash from Jegs. Roll cage padding. It's not SFI, but it's better than nothing. Assorted switches, indicator lights, and grommets. Last but not least, some 7" headlights with turn signals. Now I just need to knock out that list above. Not too much to do, really.

Thanks for the advice, but I already ordered them. They weren't cheap, but they come with (included) H4 lights rather than the traditional halogen bulbs. The constructions of the AutoLoc lights are really nice too. The casing is an alloy, and the cover is a smooth plastic like modern head lights. I'll take some pictures once i get the chance. They look good mocked up on the bug and fit the stock housing nicely.

Hey Matt, wasnt this metioned once before, but the blinkers may be out shined from the main lights at night? Might want to check on that before you hit the inspection yard. I just found out speedometers are required to pass inspection, and to be legal. I'm lookin into maybe GPS or something more compilcated,LOL.

I wouldn't think they would be out shinned anymore than a modern car with everything combined in one unit. I don't have to pass inspection. Texas Antique registry only requires the registration, but limits driving to shows, club meetings, maintenance, which is more than I'm driving it now. LOL
