Here is a link to the struts I ran on my 72 Super. They bolt to the VW lower spindle. They have them for the 74 and up strut as well and a lot cheaper than $2400. www.toplineparts.com/products/maxxstruts.htmAnother real good junkyard strut set up is the 78 and down Datsun 280Z strut. Art Morrison used to build there strut from this setup.

I have not put front springs or shocks on yet,The frame came with tube shown to adjust body to frame without putting motor and everything else in it.it is suppose to be at ride height as is. the spindles are bolted to A-arms ,the lower is attached with bolt to frame and top one is to adjustable rod seen in pictures. It is a basic set up nothing fancy,I can asways added tube A-arms or drop spindles later if needed
Does that help better?
I received one more part today ,rest suppose to be in next week.

I totally missed the pictures showing the mustang II front end with the tube in place of the shock and spring. I somehow thought you wanted information on a McPherson Strut set up. I need to read more!
I've used the Mustang II set up in quite a few cars and it's a great setup and you're right about dressing it up later if you wanted to.
