I like how "Pimp my ride" used them. I think that they could look cool if tied in nicely. It's hard to see in this picture and it's the biggest one i could find. Hellraiser - Make some brackets that bolt to your seat and the floor support.

thats what i was gunna do, but its where the seats actualy bolt that is causing trouble, i think i may just weld a plate to the bottom of the floor board where the seats r to mount.

Looks great! I'm jealous. I wonder if they would've painted the chassis for a fee? Are you going to take it all apart and paint the chassis?

I was joking with him if it came painted and this was his reply there are comedians everywhere
I think they're having a huge sale at Home Depot this weekend on their tagging paints. It's the same spray cans I use on the neighbor's houses during the night. There's a huge variety of colors available and I'm sure when you get the chassis you'll be able to pick out those colors that will suit your tastes or the woman you'll have riding next to you. If that doesn't work you can always go into the paint department and pick out some beautiful interior colors that you can apply with a nice thick nap roller and be the first one on your block to have a car with that homey look to it. Heck, you just might start a new trend.
I am just happy to get it this far,I have a buddy that is a paint guy so I hope he will take apart and give me good deal

Yeah, you're at a really good spot right now. Now you just need a drive train. If you don't have one already. I know you mentioned using a 302, but I don't recall if you have it yet.

Thats funny, you have me mixed up with someone else Ha Ha. I already have a 427 BB Chevy that is pretty radical and I have 3 or 4 4speed tranny that is what I am STARTING with when it blows I will probably move up in engine department. But I dont want to destroy BB it has been in family for years.I will run my Aluminum Flywheel also. I am having very strong thoughts of a 500 HP Progessive Fogger System also or Dual Stage of some kind. That will be pleny of power and funn for me and my bug.haha. The engine can take it but dont know for sure yet.The horsepower with NOS should be around 1100-1200hp . The engine has tunnel ram and 2 4s now,but I dont want it sticking out of hood.I am wanting to run 3 dueces for hell of it but have not looked into it to hard yet.I know I can get one but dont know about intake set up already for NOS I know they make them for 4 barrels and 2x4s etc. But dont remember seeing 3x2s, most people dont run them anyways,JUst thoughts

I wanted 15s but they dont make in that size anymore,so will be 16,17,or18s.I thought about 16s in front and 18s in back to give it a stance. But I need to see car together sitting in front of me to make sure everythings works together .I dont want frontend plowing road or nose way up in air,I kinda have to see what works. The old wheels were Centerline Champ 500s (15s) The new wheels are Centerline Champ 506s (16,17,18s) I have seen wide back wheels to run big fat tires as I am on the front it wont be to skinnie I want it to handle in turns and not push frontend in turns.I still have time it may change on sizes haha!!! I have another question for you guys ,Where can a person find a split window or oval is the only way with another car or can a person buy that section and fab it in I like the look of them both

It'll be hard finding a split window much less an oval. If you can find one expect to spend some serious cash. $$$ You could get a pre-67, or any beetle will do really, and buy an oval or split window clip. There are people that will sell just the authentic clip, but still you're looking at $600 for an oval clip. You might want to look into an after market clip that you can weld in. Here's one. www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=769634It was split but the center post was cut out for some dumb reason. $600. Here's lead to some fairly inexpensive oval clips. Shipping is another story. www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/search.php?submit=yes&type=text&keywords=oval+clipGood luck! (no pun intended)
