Hi all, said hello in the general section. I havent even got it home yet, as its still in Scotland. Gotta get it down to London in the UK. The guy who sold it to me is heading south soon on other business and is bringing it halfway down the country on an old caravan chassis. Gonna go meet him and drag it back in my PT Cruiser. I guess some of you fellow lunatics wanna see wot Ive got myself into....? I think it was £500 well spent Its gonna be a hard but worthwhile slog....... AS

Nice chop job as well. Did you do the chop? What are the plans for this car? It's cool to have a member with a v8 mounted out back. I'm curious too about the trans. Bus trans?

As far as l know, its a standard '69 beetle clutch and box. Have been told there shouldnt be a problem.... Will know more after the 15th, when l get my sweaty hands on it Roof chop looks real cool Not sure of the source of the motor...could have come from any number of cars...they were real popular motors a while back. Nice and light (for a V8) and reliable with a whole heap of after market stuff available. Got my eye on a cheap 3.9 EFI motor with all the electrics
