Hi guys. Newbi here. I've built several car projects including chopping my wifes bug. Just picked up a '74 super beetle with a blown up motor. Hummmmm..... I'm going to use a an s-10 frame for my bug project and have two available. The '91 extra cab truck frame has a large straight section to shorten BUT it's a manual trans with a bad motor. The other is a '93 4 door blazer with a good motor, auto trans. I would perfer to use the blazer frame BUT it's laid out totally different. Has anyone used a blazer frame? I want to keep the floor , firewall and dash from the blazer and graft it into the bug. Ron Sitka, Alaska

You will have to do a lot of fab work with either frame so it doesnt matter if its a truck or blazer. You need to check out all the threads here to find some of your answers, I f you need any help, dont hesitate to ask. Why use the blazer over the truck anyways?

I was wanting to use the floor and firewall off my 89 s-10 too but ran into the brake booster being too high up and too far to the edge of it to work without taking it out and moving it which would be a total pain. Also the heater box is in the way on the other side. Nothing that cant be cut out though!!!
