Well, I know I have been away for a while but the bug has been on the back burner for a while. I also have a mustang that I show and it is in the middle of the show season so I've been busy. I have done quite a bit to the bug though. I ended up chopping the windshield 6" and building a top for it like wazabug did on volksrods. I also cut the whole front off and just installed the hood for the open motor look. I have mounted the front bumper which I cut 14" out of and rewelded back together, and then I found a company that will make you any actual German license plate that you wish. So what better name than VOLKSWHAT? If I can remember how to put pictures on here I will post then soon.

Here it is after I painted the bumper. I also have new turn signals for it too.

I have started on the firewall but still need more time to finish. Then I will start on the window pillars to get them straighter and better looking. One thing at a time for sure. Hope you like.

this is how it looks with the 32 Ford radiator shroud that I bought. Not sure if I like this look or with the bug hood better?

I installed one of my stacks that I got off my dads car. I think it goes with the rat look pretty good.

I rolled it outside today to clean out from under it and also found these extreme wheels at a great cost. I like them better.

This pic shows the stance a little better and where my tank is located. I will build a tailgate that will open to fill it with gas later.

This is the other look that I might go with. If I do put the hood back on, I will fill in the sides so you won't see the motor.

I built my "racecar" style dash today. Next comes the gauges.

I am also thinking about using my old front fenders and making them wider for the rear. I would then fill in the headlight holes and try to find some old round taillights off of something that would work.
