LET THE SLAYING BEGIN AS I PICKED A NON BUG !!!!! lol ;D Well after some serious thoughts and the wife liking this body style better i have decided for a triumph spitfire as my choice of vehicle. I realize its not a bug but it is smaller than a bug and this chassis can be built for anything so i will keep you guys informed on pricing and new pics. And yes it WILL have full street car equipment as there are no plans of buying a trailer ! I found this car from a lady at work complete with title for $200.00 Went with a full round tube chassis with pinto style suspension because of my narrow frame rails. Thay have to be 21" total width due to the skinny 45" track width. And the wheelbase is only gonna be 84" to top all of that. www.alstonracing.com is my chassis people and they are VERY price friendly i will have about $1000.00 in the full tube 4 link chassis minus suspension and that includes the full 14 point cage FINAL RENDERING..............................

Awesome project. What will the power plant be? 406 with Patriot freedom aluminum heads for sure. But the power adder is up for discussion ! I want twin turbos but everyone thinks it will be too much for the wheelbase. BUT they think i should do the ugly juice thing. But i do not like nitrous that much as it is too "easy" these days as anyone and their dog can use it safely. Dont get me wrong i like nitrous but everyone has it now. AND yes i have used the bottle more than my share so i am not hating just want something different to go along with the car.

EDIT : The alston race car site from my titled page "finally a good body" for those that are keeping track is NOT the same one that i found and am using................... 1. Chris Alston Chassisworks ........ www.cachassisworks.com is his brother and these guys are ALOT more in price 2. Alston Racing (my chassis company) is cheaper and everything they sell is the same thing BUT the brother did not like his brothers prices so he opened his own shop. www.alstonracing.comThe pic is a finished rendering but not the right color yet Attachments:

Looking good! Loving the tube chassis build. That 8.8 will be plenty strong for such a light car. 8.8's are what the S10 guys use in their builds cause it's a direct bolt in for the most part.

Yes Sir as the car should most certain be under the 2500 lb mark with me in it. lol Set the ride height today i think the rear might need to go down a little tho. what yall think ? And the exhaust does NOT go under the car anywhere. P.S. My wheels are not here and the tires are a special size so i cut some mock up ones out of a spare piece of plywood !
