Racerman's gotcha covered. Up near the carb. I usually mount one on a bracket off the carb studs.

Way to go Matt!!
As low as your car is, you're going to have to get used to pulling in and out of the driveway!! LOL!!
Your headers are going to catch hell!!
Great Job! I'm happy for you. ;D
P.S. - My wheels look good!! They look tough!

I'm happy for you. ;D P.S. - My wheels look good!! They look tough! Thanks Ray! It was very exciting and nerve racking all at the same time. A lot of anxiety. Yeah, I wasn't thinking about pulling out the driveway smoothly. ;D What you were hearing is the front fenders cause they're loosely hung on three fender bolts. ;D The wheels set it off!

Hellyeah!! Way to go!! So how's it drive, handle, stop? Sounds great! It drives great. Steers very easy, although the steering ratio isn't very quick, the throttle response is excellent, and it stop great too as well. I really haven't had a chance to mash the gas and romp on the brakes to see just how well everything performs. The throttle is VERY touchy. The slightest touch and it just wants to take off! Love it! I can't wait to take it to the track soon to see how it does. I want to get it in paint and finished before then. Not too much more stuff to do.

Been getting some things done to the bug. Finishing up sheet metal work so I can get into the body work stages so I can get this thing finished. Getting closer has me thinking again about the final look. I think I have my mind made up. Hugger Orange and Gloss black. I decided to keep the trim chrome cause I have bits and pieces on the engine and interior that are chrome or polished aluminum. To address my breather issue, I decided I'll just get a carb scoop to poke out the hood. Alternator will be flipped up side down. I have to make a pulley to keep the belt from hitting the steering box. I'm thinking of using a black skateboard wheel and fabricating something to mount it on. Haha.

Nice photo shop! The two tone in those colors and pattern will look great. My car is sitting for a bit longer. We decide to eliminate some debt and as of yesterday I only have a house note, Wooo Whooo! Once we build up some more safety in savings I will get started again.
