Ok, now I know I am going to get a lot of grief over the next few pictures, but let me plead my case. The whole purpose of building this car was not to race it. I wanted a cool, different, but faster than stock car that I could drive on the weekends for fun. Ok, that being said, I went through a time where I was looking at a lot of the volksrods and really liked some of them, so I decided to do one myself. So the top came off and fenders came off only to find out that my state will not allow you to run no fenders...Dooohhhhh!!! So fenders went back on, but I actually liked the toppless look. So I am leaving it off and going to weld up the top of the doors and going to make a fiberglass cover for the rear section to make it look like a roadster. I'll post a picture of what I am talking about. What do you think?

Next, I made a mock up of a dash that I can use to build one more permanently. I have to cut the holes for the guages and switches then cover it in some kind of material. Haven't decided what the interior will be like just yet. [/img] Attachments:

Well, since I am going with the fenders back on, I have to widen them. And because I am a single income family with a wife and 4 kids, I can't afford the $700 wider fenders out there. So I must build t hem myself. I saw a guy do it this way so here I go. Attachments:
