Have any modifications be done to this vehicle?
"I think the guy before me had put a different engine into it, that all I really know of..."

Yeah, I wouldn't think there's no need to go into a big spill about the mods. I would just say it's a 19?? VW Beetle.

a guy I know wants to but it off of me so it doesnt get chopped up at all, or trade me something for it (38' Plymouth 4 door, or a 53' Pontiac 4 door) to build instead, but I rather use the Beetle as its small and the bodys in great shape so its a good base

That's the cool thing about the V8 bug concept, it's size and weight. You could put a mild V8 motor in bug and make it run, but a mild V8 in an car of the same year, it's all about the weight to power ratio.

well it will be interesting to see whether or not if the 460 would fit in the 'Stang's engine bay or not...cuz' as far as I know that 460 is one honkin' big engine, size wise...the 351 is a better fit than a 460 ,I would think...and more "go-fast " goodies for it than a 460,which is more of a luxury car engine.. going back over those pix of other V-8 bugs and the mid-engine one gave me an idea....build one of those using the drive train out of a Fiero...they're already mid engined..one doesn't have to worry about steering like swapping a FWD to the back...ya know whut I mean,Vern?... ;D

A 460 will slip right into a Mustangs engine bay, you just have to get swap headers and oil pan to make it clear everything.
But then again the weight of it would just be retarded, it would understeer pretty badly id imagine (I HATE understeer)

I hear ya' Vern! I also, have heard that an easy option to go with is going with V8 motor with a FWD transmission, then you just mount it in the back. All the mods would be to the rear of the car and it would be a mid mount making it handle better. Here's a pic of an 06' 4.6L LD8 Engine w/4T80E Transmission, 2.7 Original Miles for 3.5K. And there are older models you could use, but you get the idea.

I'm sure that would work too. Probably just like the above Cadi motor.
